自然由来の優しい色合い「のこり染シリーズ」

「のこり染」とは、染色業界でサステナブルな取り組みを進める岐阜の老舗、株式会社艶金が 「もったいない」という環境配慮の熱い想いから独自に開発した染色方法のこと。
食品を作る過程ででる食材や捨ててしまう植物の端材などの「のこり」を原料に、自然な色合いに染めています。

今回、艶金さんにオーダーしたのは、日々の暮らしになじむこちらの２色。
ハイタイドストアのキオスクで楽しめるオリジナルコーヒーのドリップ後の出がらし（残渣）で染めた「コーヒー」。
飛騨地方のひのきの間伐材の端材から抽出した色素で染めた「ひのき」。

どちらも上質なリネン生地に「のこり染」を行い、優しい色合いに仕上がりました。

普段なら捨てられてしまうものが、新しい価値をプラスすることで生まれ変わる。
自然の恵みから生まれた、毎日愛着を持って使いたくなる「のこり染シリーズ」です。

NOKORI dye: fine colors of organic dyes

The name of our latest collection means 'leftover dye', which is the special dyeing technique using 'nokori' (leftovers) of ingredients and plants that should have been thrown away.
The technique featuring delicate colors is developped in spirit of 'mottainai' by Tsuyakin Co., Ltd., a dyeing meister located in Gifu Prefecture in Japan who cares a lot for the environment from their industry.

We ordered two colorways so the collection blend in daily life; Coffee, dyed with coffee grounds of Original Blend from HIGHTIDE STORE, and Cypress from thinned wood of Hida District where Gifu is. In addition, we selected linen of high quality so the dye shows the most gentle tone as possible.

We could give a new way to what is to be abandoned. In the pallet of NOKORI, love for things comes from the blessing of the nature.
